What it does

• A score, then the reasonsCompleteness, contact details, quantified impact, action verbs, brevity, dates, skills coverage and formatting are each scored separately, so the number always comes with somewhere to start.
• Matched against a real postingPaste a job description and the score is recalculated on keyword coverage: which required skills are missing, which are only implied, and which appear in the wrong section to count.
• Parse safetyTables, text boxes, columns, headers, images, symbols and unusual fonts are the things that break a parser. Each one is checked and named before it costs you a screen.
• It knows when it is not a résuméDrop in a story, an invoice or a research paper and it says so instead of inventing a score. A number attached to the wrong document is worse than no number.

How to use it

1. 01Open the free ATS check and drop in your résumé as PDF, DOCX, TXT or Markdown.
2. 02Read the ATS meter: above 80 is strong, 60 to 80 is worth a pass, below 60 will struggle.
3. 03Create a free local profile to see the full report: every missing keyword, every weak bullet, every parse warning.
4. 04Paste the job description you are aiming at and score again for that specific posting.
5. 05Fix the flagged lines in the builder and export a text-layer PDF an ATS can actually read.

Questions

Is the ATS check really free?

Yes. The score needs no account, no email and no card. A free local profile, which is a name and a passphrase kept on your own device, unlocks the detailed report and the résumé builder, and that is free too.

Do you keep my résumé?

No. The file never leaves your browser. Extraction, parsing and scoring all happen in the tab, so there is no copy on our side at any point.

Which file types work?

PDF, DOCX, TXT and Markdown, up to 8 MB. A scanned or image-only PDF has no text layer to read, so export a text PDF or upload the Word file instead.

Does a high score guarantee an interview?

No. It means the résumé parses cleanly and covers the language of the posting, which is what gets it in front of a person. What happens next is down to the content and the market.

Which ATS does it imitate?

It checks the behaviour common to Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, Taleo and iCIMS: text extraction order, section detection, date parsing and keyword matching, rather than one vendor's private scoring.
