Free résumé builder that scores itself

Free, local profileRésuméNo watermark

Thirty templates, live ATS scoring, and exports that survive a parser.

Build a résumé in the browser or on your desktop, with the ATS score updating as you type. Import what you already have from PDF, Word or LaTeX, and export a real text-layer PDF, an editable Word file, LaTeX or JSON Resume. Free, and your data stays on your device.

What it does

  • Thirty templates, two familiesHigh-ATS single-column layouts for machine reading, and full-graphic layouts for when a human opens it first. Colours, spacing, fonts and per-section styling are all yours.
  • The score is in the editorCompleteness, quantified impact, verbs, brevity and keyword coverage update while you type, so the résumé is fixed as it is written rather than audited afterwards.
  • Import what existsPDF, DOCX, TXT and LaTeX come in with sections, dates, links and skill groups detected. Hyperlinks are harvested rather than flattened into text.
  • Exports that keep their shapeA text-layer PDF for parsers, a rasterised PDF for graphic templates, editable DOCX with the styling carried through, LaTeX in five flavours, and JSON Resume both ways.
  • No watermark, no paywall on exportEvery template and every export format is free. Nothing is stamped, nothing is limited by page count, nothing asks for a card at the download.

How to use it

  1. Open Vulture and create a free local profile: a name and a passphrase, kept on your device.
  2. Import an existing résumé, or start from a template.
  3. Write with the score panel open; fix what it flags as you go.
  4. Paste a job description to check keyword coverage for that posting.
  5. Export a text-layer PDF for applications, and DOCX when a recruiter asks for Word.

Questions

Is it free with no watermark?
Yes. Every template, style control and export format is free, and nothing is watermarked. Pro exists only for the paid AI services we buy on your behalf.
Do I need an account?
Not a real one. A local profile lives entirely on your device: no email, no server, nothing stored on our side. An online account is optional and only adds encrypted sync between devices.
Will it work offline?
Yes. The desktop app for Windows, macOS and Linux runs the whole builder offline, and the web app keeps working once loaded.
Can I keep my LaTeX workflow?
Yes. Import a .tex file, edit it in the app and export back to LaTeX in the Vulture, Jake, moderncv, Awesome-CV or AltaCV flavour.
