Private browser with ad blocking, built for the job hunt
Free, local profileBrowsingNo watermark
A separate browsing session inside the app, with AdGuard DNS on by default.
The desktop app carries its own Chromium browser in a partitioned session, with AdGuard DNS-over-HTTPS enabled by default so ads and trackers are refused before a request is made. Tabs, groups and pinned pages persist, and job sources are one search away.
What it does
- Ads refused at the DNS layerAdGuard DNS-over-HTTPS is the default resolver, so advertising and tracking domains fail to resolve at all rather than being hidden after they load.
- A session of its ownThe browser runs in a partition separate from everything else on your machine: its cookies and storage do not touch your main browser's, in either direction.
- Tabs that survive a restartTabs, pinned pages, groups with their own names and colours, and the reopen-closed stack all persist between sessions.
- Extensions when you want moreUnpacked extensions can be loaded, so uBlock Origin or anything else you rely on can sit on top of the DNS filtering.
- Built around job sourcesA curated search over the boards and career pages you are already using, with find-in-page, zoom and history where you expect them.
How to use it
- Install the desktop app for Windows, macOS or Linux.
- Open the Browser view; AdGuard DNS-over-HTTPS is already on.
- Group and pin the career pages you check often.
- Load an extension if you want filtering on top of DNS.
- Send a posting straight from the browser into the tracker.
Questions
- Is it a full ad blocker?
- It blocks at the DNS layer by default, which stops advertising and tracking domains resolving. For cosmetic filtering on top of that, load an extension such as uBlock Origin as an unpacked extension.
- Is the browser available on the web version?
- No. It needs a real Chromium process, so it is part of the desktop app for Windows, macOS and Linux.
- Does it share my main browser's logins?
- No, and that is deliberate. It has its own partitioned session, so signing in here does not touch your everyday browser.
